The title is a play on the dinosaur genus, Tyrannosaurus Rex and the fact that Tina wrecked Bob's car.
This episode marks the only appearance of Jimmy Pesto's car. After winning the minivan in Family Fracas, it is no longer assumed that he owns/drives it. This is also the only time so far that Mort's hearse has been seen in the series.
