Gary is a candy cane truck driver whom the Belchers encounter several times throughout Christmas in the Car. Firstly when they cut in front of him when they reverse out of the tree lot. Later on he drives slow it front of the car making them pass him in the fast lane, but a they do so he speeds up causing them to career off the road when the approach a snowplow parked on snow. Then again later he drives across a bridge in the opposite direction they are going. He then gives chase to them, leading to the Belchers hiding.
Eventually he finds them and traps them where they hide. He then makes a deal with Bob that he'll tow them out if he punches him in the stomach. He then reveals that Bob cutting in front of him made him snap and so badly wanted to "bang his ass." He then tells his lonely story of how he is lonely and that he is driving from a Christmas Eve parade to a Christmas Day parade. He then punches Bob in the stomach to release his urge and proceeds to tow the car out.
As a token of thanks the family offer him their Christmas tree and Linda's Dutch baby pancake.
