Plot[]
When Louise hears that Boo Boo is leaving Boyz 4 Now, she enters a contest that could give Tina the chance to meet him. Meanwhile, Bob and Linda learn an interesting piece of history regarding the restaurant, which leads to tension between Bob and Jimmy Pesto.
Synopsis[]
At Wagstaff, Tammy and Jocelyn present the latest news to cry about on WSN: Boyz4Now has broken up because Boo Boo wants to start a solo career. In the cafeteria, Tina tries to tell Louise the news, who has already heard, and Tina tries hugging Louise for comfort. Louise says she is fine and that the band is Tina’s thing, and she slapped Boo Boo’s face after the contest and now she is “cured”. Tina says that it would mean a lot if Louise joined her to an emergency meeting of her Boyz4Now fan club after school, and Louise begrudgingly accepts.
At the restaurant, Bob, Linda and Teddy look at a bespectacled man staring from outside before he walks in. The man says that a bootlegger named Dominic “the Grunt” Gruntanno was shot in the back booth in 1931, and after showing a crime scene photo, introduces himself as Dr. Donald Wallace, researching a book on the area during Prohibition, and asks Bob if he wants to try and get a plaque from the local historical society, as he is on the board. Bob is hesitant but agrees after Teddy and Linda talk him into it.
Tina and Louise arrive at the home of Krissy Davis or the meeting, with other members including Robin, Angela, Carly, Becca, and Krissy’s parents, are all heartbroken and in tears at the band’s break-up. Krissy takes up a motion to boycott Boo Boo’s solo album and future merchandise, which passes, and she soon shows a video she received as fan club chapter president, of Boo Boo, which grabs Louise’s attention. Boo Boo says he has grown as an artist and also in size, telling Matt he’s like a father but that Alan and Griffin ‘know what they did.”
Boo Boo is releasing his first solo album, Tall Enuff 2 Ride Your Heart, and to promote it, he is going to various amusement parks, including Wonder Wharf, which gets Louise’s attention again. Whoever promotes the stops at each park the most will win a rollercoaster ride with him and their friends, by turning their Boyz4Now fan club into a Boo Crew. Krissy leads the club in a chant against Boo Boo, but Louise sneaks out and rushes home. She goes online and finds Boo Boo’s website, hoping to ride a roller-coaster with the “beautiful, disgusting garbage angel” she is infatuated with.
A few days later in the restaurant, Linda is telling the kids about how the back booth was where a gangster was shot when Mike arrives with a package for Tina. Tina, initially scared as Gayle said she was sending her old bras, is confused and allows Louise to carry it up to her room. Mike also delivers a smaller parcel for Bob, the plaque for the restaurant from the historical society. In Tina’s room, Louise shows the Boo Crew shirts she ordered in Tina’s name in order to ride the rollercoaster. Tina points out that Boo Boo is the reason the band broke up, and that it’s Louise’s thing as she has a crush on Boo Boo. Which Louise denies, until Tina manages to get her to correct one of the lyrics Boo Boo sings. Louise manages to convince Tina to enter the contest, for Louise despite what the fan club might say, as Louise tries to make it about Tina.
Outside the restaurant, Bob is again hesitant to put up the plaque and be known as the “murder restaurant” when Jimmy Pesto walks over. Jimmy sees the plaque and is jealous, loving mobster stuff, and gets an idea to do something once he hears Bob won’t hang up the plaque.
Louise, Tina, and Gene walk down the street. Louise says that with Boo Boo at the wharf that Saturday, the crew with the most email sign-ups gets on the ride. Gene joins up with them, and at school they recruit Andy and Ollie Pesto. At Wonder Wharf, the Crew are failing to get emails when Tina spots Krissy walking towards them. Tina fails to hide her “Boo Crew” shirt behind a clipboard while Gene blows their cover. Krissy kicks Tina out of the fan club, to Tina’s sadness, as she loved the fan club. Louise tries and fails to cheer up her sister, with Andy and Ollie pointing out that Tina’s sacrificed more than them, but refuses to quit.
At the restaurant, Linda notices a crowd at Pesto’s, and Bob sees Jimmy in a 70-sstyle mobster-inspired suit. Pesto is telling the crowd that his restaurant was recently given a plaque saying a real-life mobster was gunned down there, while Bob marches over and says Jimmy is lying, but no one believes him even with the obviously fake plaque, while jimmy works the crowd.
Three days later, Gene, Louise and Tina are at the entrance of Wonder wharf without any emails for the mailing list. After scaring away two more people, they are approached by Robin. Robin tells them things have gotten weird with the fan club, and Krissy got the idea to turn the fan club into a Boo Crew, even though they hate Boo Boo. But that’s the plan: they get enough emails, win the contest, and then before the rollercoaster ride, eat a bunch of junk food at the wharf, and once they do, puke it all over Boo Boo. The Belchers are shocked by this, and Robin admits that while Boo Boo broke up the band, in the end he was the band. He also tells them that Krissy got her dad to sing up everyone at his company without their knowledge to inflate the sign-ups, so Louise gets the idea to also play dirty.
After a day of getting people to give out their emails at the wharf with worded signs, Louise smiles that they have a chance. That night, Bob is still angry at Jimmy, while Linda points out he didn’t want to put up the plaque anyway, but Bob says the point is Jimmy is a fraud, and decides to call Wallace. Louise tells Tina they might have a shot at winning, but Tina tells her it iso kay for her to be excited, even as Louise again denies it’s for her. Tina says that every day at 2:30, her armpits get sweaty, and sued to hate raising her hand in class to ask a question, but eventually said “who cares”, she has swampy armpits and will ask questions, “Swampy and proud”. She tells Louise that just because she thinks something is embarrassing doesn’t mean she has to be embarrassed by it, and Boo Boo might be Louise’s “Swampy pits”.
That Saturday, at the Wharf, it is crowded. Louise, Robin, and their Boo Crew are there, but disappointed when they do not win, which instead falls to Krissy’s club. As Krissy and the others chow on junk food the emcee brings them up on the stage. As Louise tries to shout about the puke scheme, blares and smoke announce Boo Boo’s arrival, who is barely tall enough to ride the coaster. Louise tries to stop them but is blocked by security.
Outside the restaurant, Bob has a large blowup of the Grunt photo and meets with Dr. Wallace, with Bob planning to get everyone’s attention and the professor telling them it happened at Bob’s. As the two walk I, however, Bob cannot go through with it, seeing Jimmy happy telling stories to his customers, and feeling like taking it away from him (even though he admits Pesto is a jerk) would be like taking a toy from a baby, and offers the professor a burger.
On the Scream-i-cane, Boo Boo is scared while Louise notes the ride is almost over. Tina notes the last turn, and Gene suggests they couldn’t throw up, and Louie realizes the plan. It was never to throw up on the ride; the puke would have gone everywhere and might have missed Boo Boo. After the carts stop, Boo Boo poses for a photo with the winners, who are barely holding it in. Louise manages to run past security and stops Krissy, putting herself between them and Boo Boo. As the fan club heaves and struggles, Krissy says everyone hates Boo Boo, but Louise says not everybody and that she likes him, even though she thinks it’s terrible and makes no sense to her. Krissy tries to get her to move, but Louise continues, that just because it’s embarrassing, she likes Boo Boo for the whole crowd to hear.
Louise continues to stand between the girls and Boo Boo, and Louise tells Krissy that she always thought she’d have Boy4Now and Boo Boo took it away, but if the club barfs on Boo Boo, they’ll barf on themselves, not just physically, but also on the part that liked him, and that none of it is real but what they felt. Krissy says she might be right, before they all have to barf on the wharf planks. Krissy allows Tina to rejoin the club, but continues vomiting before more can be said. Louise says to Boo Boo that they’ve met again, but he doesn’t remember. So she slaps him, and he remembers her before being taken off-stage by guards. Tina is proud of Louise, who thinks Boo Boo is the worst but misses him.
